Meet the new senior audiologist at our Market Bosworth hearing clinic
We are delighted to introduce you to Carl Morley, audiologist at our new Market Bosworth hearing clinic. Carl’s joined us as a senior audiologist, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a true passion for hearing care.
His journey into the field is one steeped in personal history. Both his grandmother, who was profoundly deaf and blind in her later years, and his father, who suffers from severe hearing loss and tinnitus, inspired Carl’s interest in audiology.
When his family’s motor body repair centre closed, Carl found himself at a crossroads. It was then that an opportunity at North Devon District Hospital presented itself. Despite the challenges of juggling a new baby and studying for a degree, Carl took the plunge. It’s safe to say, it was a decision that changed his life for the better.
Person-centred hearing care
Working across various hearing aid companies and NHS trusts, Carl’s come to understand the importance of a person-centred approach to hearing care. A person-centred approach focuses on the needs, values, and priorities of the individual. In audiology, that means understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
Carl prides himself on working in collaboration with patients, informing and guiding them towards the solution that best suits their individual needs and lifestyle. When meeting a new patient, Carl takes the time to really understand what they hope to achieve. He conducts thorough hearing tests and presents honest, realistic solutions to improve their hearing experience.
Joining the Alto team
Carl believes that what sets Alto apart is our independence. We’re not tied to any specific hearing aid manufacturer, like some of the larger, national hearing care companies. But it’s not just our independence that makes us special. Carl’s worked with our director, Adam Bostock, for many years and admires his dedication to customer care and the wellbeing and professional development of his team. Carl’s excited to contribute to Alto’s mission and help the company achieve its ambitions.
Outside of audiology
When Carl is not in the hearing clinic, he enjoys motorcycling and is a fan of all racing, from the British Superbikes to MotoGP. He’s also a football enthusiast and supports Notts County.
In addition, Carl enjoys the outdoors, often spending time walking in the Peak District and along the coast.
We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Carl to the Alto hearing care team. His empathetic approach, technical expertise, and commitment to audiology align perfectly with our mission to reconnect people to their world.
We’re looking forward to you getting to know Carl and experiencing his caring approach to audiology firsthand.
So, let’s give a warm welcome to Carl. Welcome to the team!
