Receiver in the canal/ear (RIC or RIE)
One of the most popular styles due to their sleek design and versatility. By helping to keep the ear canal open, receiver in the canal hearing aids (RIC) have a very natural sound.
Receiver in the canal hearing aids have a speaker that sits inside the ear canal and is connected via a very thin wire to a small hearing aid unit that sits behind the ear. RIC hearing aids are suitable for most hearing losses.
Invisible in the canal hearing aids are the most discreet hearing aid option available.
These devices are tiny and sit right inside the ear canal. They feature with a small wire that allows you to extract the device from your ear.
Due to their smaller size, invisible in the canal devices are suitable for mild to moderate hearing losses and generally do not offer wireless connectivity.
Sitting inside the ear canal, these hearing aids are custom made to the shape of your ear and house all of the components, so that nothing is visible behind the ear.
In the ear hearing aids are suitable for most hearing losses.

Booked an appointment in desperation with deep impacted wax, hearing loss and pain, got an appointment the next day and the price is affordable. The staff are really accommodating, and conversational, Mariia was very gentle with me, and my anxiety faded the more she worked as I could tell she is very professional and good at her craft. As a neurodivergent individual who dislikes physical contact and has issues trusting people with invasive procedures, I highly recommend Alto Hearing to anyone who needs it. Their work is definitely worth the price. :). I can hear better now and my ears…

I attended alto for wax removal today, I was alittle nervous never having it done before but was immediately put at ease by the friendly receptionist. I was promptly seen by Megan who explained everything well and carried out the wax removal which wasn't uncomfortable at all! Very pleased with the service and will definitely return when needed. I visited Carl fir the first time yesterday, with tinnitus and some deafness in my right ear. After a full examination he advised me to see my Dr. as he thought it was an inner ear infection. I’m very happy with the results 110%, I have my hearing back after months of uncomfortable silence and pain. I cannot recommend them enough. 5 star and very affordable and quick service. I booked the appointment online and very quickly received a call back. We were then able to go through the reasons for me needing a hearing test and the appointment was confirmed. I received a very warm welcome with the offer of a hot drink on a very cold day as soon as I walked through the door. Leesa, the audiologist, was very professional and friendly and explained the procedure in detail so I understood exactly what tests would be carried out, and why. I was using Otex to soften ear wax which led to almost complete deafness in one ear. I already had an appointment with a well known optician brand but it was ten days hence. I walked in to Alto to see if they could see me sooner and within minutes I was in the chair having the procedure. Expertly accomplished and my hearing is now the best it’s been in years. Very impressed. I was wondering if I had tinnitus and needed ear wax removal . I had my ears examined and various hearing tests , the results of which were shown on the computer and clearly explained. It was all painless and all my questions were answered so I felt very reassured. I had booked for ear wax removal but as I didn't need it doing I only paid for the examinations. The receptionist and audiologist were both lovely and I would certainly recommend this service.

Wireless Bluetooth technology allows you to change your hearing aid settings via a remote control or app on your smartphone. You may also be able to connect your hearing aid to your phone, TV, assistive listening devices, or other hearing aid accessories, such as remote microphones, for ease of listening.
