We published this first look at Unitron’s Vivante platform in May 2023. It describes the Moxi models and design features announced at that time.
For a broader comparison of Unitron’s hearing aids and fitting options, see our Unitron hearing aids guide.
The Moxi Vivante design
Moxi V-R and V-RT are receiver-in-canal hearing aids. The main body sits behind the ear, with a wire leading to the receiver in the ear canal.
Aesthetics: First Impressions Count
The Moxi models came in a choice of colours. Appearance is one part of the decision, alongside the physical fit and how easily you can handle the hearing aids.
Comfort: All-Day Wearability
Comfort needs checking on your own ears, including the earpiece and the space behind the ear if you wear glasses. A manufacturer’s description of the shape cannot establish that fit for you.
Ease-of-Use: Simplified Controls and Improved Connectivity
Moxi V-R and V-RT have a multifunction button. Tap control can manage calls, streaming and voice assistants where supported. The available functions depend on the model, technology level and setup.
Moxi V-RT adds a telecoil for compatible hearing loops. A telecoil does not mean it will connect wirelessly to every landline phone.
The rechargeable models need the correct compatible charger. Check that inserting and removing the hearing aids is manageable for you.
Considering Vivante now
Our earlier experience with Unitron Blu was positive. That was the background to this first look at Vivante; this article does not report a dated Vivante fitting test.
Vivante is now an older Unitron generation. If you are considering it, confirm the exact model, technology level, phone functions and care included before comparing the options.
If Unitron’s sound and usability appeal, compare it within Alto’s hearing aid treatment plans before deciding.
