Phonak SmartSpeechTM technology
Phonak Slim uses AutoSense OS 5.0 to adjust sound processing as the listening environment changes. SmartSpeech is Phonak’s name for a group of features intended to improve speech understanding or reduce listening effort. The features included vary by technology level.
Slim supports compatible Roger microphones through RogerDirect. A remote microphone can help when the speaker is further away or there is background noise. Our Phonak Roger On review explains how it works.
Phonak Audeo Lumity Slim Design
Phonak Slim has separate left and right housings shaped to follow the contour of the head. It sits behind the ear, with a receiver in the ear canal.
The shape differs from a conventional RIC hearing aid. Comfort still needs checking on your own ears, particularly if you wear glasses.
The Audeo Lumity Slim is available in four refined two-tone colour options: Sandalwood, Silver, Graphite, and Copper. These colour choices afford users the liberty to select a hearing aid that either blends seamlessly with their persona or adds a dash of individual style.
Charging & Battery Life
Phonak’s user guide states that a full charge can take up to three hours in the Phonak Slim Charger. How long the hearing aids run between charges depends on their settings and use, including streaming.
If you already wear Slim and the battery no longer lasts as expected, have the hearing aids and charger checked. A charging problem does not necessarily mean the battery needs replacing.
